The Mysteries of Rúne - Fasra's Crawling Wonders
A mystical borough perched upon the treetops is home to a vibrant community and their odd companions. A city interlaced with a network of elaborate bridges and walkways that connect the tree trunks, forming an intricate web of winding paths that lead to all corners.
People of all ages and backgrounds tend to do their business, but the real stars of Fasra are the giant beetles. These creatures are much more than just pets to Fasra’s residents. They're essential companions, helping with everything from transportation to construction.
The royalty of Fasra is a distinguished group of Forest Guardians entrusted with the responsibility of leading the city. These revered individuals are among the most skilled and respected members of Fasra's society. Chosen for their leadership abilities, dedication to the city, and understanding of the ways of the forest, they stand united under one banner.

- Locations -
The Great Tree is the centerpiece of Fasra, towering over the other trees and providing a stunning view of the surrounding forest.
The Beetle Stables are where you will find many skilled beetle trainers who ensure the creatures' health and training.
The Temple of Seasu is a sacred site dedicated to peace and serenity. A place where visitors can reflect and meditate.
The Sacred Grove is located deep within the forest and is the site of an ancient druidic ritual. It is a place of great spiritual significance revered by the people of Fasra.
- The Wyrm Dunes -
The city holds the most fertile soil in all of the Onyx Territories; this is due in part to the dragon bone fragments that litter its streets. The most prominent being the Wyrm Dunes on the southern edge of Fasra. These fragments are frequently ground into dust that is used in farming, but many larger shards are kept to hopefully bring rebirth to the dragons.
These bones were collected soon after The Scourge and brought to Fasra. This eery reminder haunts the city and has built a dependence upon its assistance. The Guardians are seeking a replacement for the day their supply runs out, something that has built up commotion among the locals as some have started hoarding the dust or even tried experiments to try and resurrect the dragons unsanctioned by the Guardians.
- Beetles -
Some more distinctive Beetle varieties are bred within Fasra. Igniters emit a bright red glow and are often used as a light source to explore dark places. Rhinos have distinctive horns on their heads. They are the most common mounts. Simmering Scarabs are known for their shimmering exoskeletons. Many jewelers keep them as inspiration for their craft.
There is a legendary beetle known as the Skydrifter that was deemed untamable. Skydrifters are massive, with translucent wings that shimmer in the sunlight, making them highly sought-after creatures. They are fiercely independent and are known for their unpredictable nature, often taking to the skies for days to weeks without returning to the ground.
Only one known individual has ever successfully tamed a Skydrifter. An elf named Rowan is said to have spent years studying the behaviors of Skydrifters before finally gaining the trust of his companion Skye. Skye is the first known Skydrifter to form a bond with a human. Despite Rowan and Skye's success, most beetle tamers still consider Skydrifters untamable and seldom attempt to capture or train one.
